Less Explored Morgiri Jakhmata Trek

This Trek is for those travelers who like to explore offbeat treks. Morgiri Jakhmata is located around 16 KM from Lonavala high up in the hills away from the crowd. 

Trek Date: November 20, 2016.

Altitude: Around 2500 Feet above mean sea level

Trek Grade: Moderate to Tough. 

Experience Category: Trek is a two hour ascend going through a mix of scrub land, thick forested path to finally exposed rocky top. One gets to see a good 360 view from the summit.

Location: 16 KM from Lonavala.

Best Season: Best season is Monsoon and Winter..

Duration: One Day trip from Pune / Mumbai.

6:00 am Start from Mumbai / Pune

Andheri East (On Western Express Highway, near Bislery Signal)
6:15 am Bandra (Kayala Nagar Junction Bus Stop); at End of Sky Walk
6:25 am Sion Station
6:35 am Chembur, (Dimond Garden Signal)
6:50 am Vashi (Junction of Station Road and Highway)
8:15 am Lonavala (Near Kumar Resort)

Drive from Lonavala to Base Village (45 minutes)

9:00 am Arrival at base village

Tapri Chai / Biscuit / Snack near Base village

09:30 am Start of trek

Trek to Summit
12:00 pm Arrival at Summit (near cave)

Explore, rest, Lunch (Carry your own packed lunch).

02:00 pm Return Trek from summit to base village
05:00 pm Quick Bite and Tea at Lonavala

09:00 pm Expected arrival at Mumbai
